A Fresh Approach to Catering
Owners, Andrew Engolio and Robert Lewis have always loved the creativity that is so much a part of the culinary experience. They create unique menus and work with the best vendors in the business to visualize table settings and decor reflecting the individuality of their patrons. They are excited with each new challenge and make sure that each is personalized.
Andrew Engolio was born to cook, and his family’s French and Italian roots gave him all he needed to become a chef. Andrew started cooking as a child and was inspired by his grandmother, who prepared rich homemade meals daily for her large family, and by his grandfather who would teach Andrew the fine art of fishing and growing vegetables in the family garden. After stints as a Food Chemist and an Attorney, Andrew found his way into the world of catering and event planning, where he garnered valuable experience in culinary arts and food service management.
Andrew developed a unique cooking style; creating modern menus consisting of French, Spanish and Italian-inspired cuisine, using local and organic ingredients. His menus celebrate New Orleans cuisine in a refreshing combination of clean, bright flavors. With the best seafood available in abundance, Andrew takes an artisanal approach to food; from “the boat and farm to the pan,' he chooses the best seafood from the gulf, as well as the best local organic produce from area farms. The result, an authentic experience utilizing his European roots to ensure clean, classical flavors and a beautiful presentation
It’s all about the details with Robert Lewis. Beautiful floral arrangements and stunning table designs are the result of his devotion to the intricate details. A professional designer since 1980, Robert is also a craftsman and an artist. It is this combination that makes his talents so special. Robert has worked with the top event designers in the area, and has traveled across the United States creating fascinating theme parties and lavish social events. Robert is regularly creating event environments that impress and electrify.
Using our creativity, culinary expertise and years of experience, Catering D' Orleans works closely with event planners, and together with our clients to conceive events that best fit their individual visions and needs.
Our goal is to design that special event that reflects the individuality of our client. Because each event is unique, we listen and learn about our clients' ideas, likes, dislikes and budgetary parameters.
